Tube Chassis Rear Pivot Boxes
When mounting the rear suspension in a tube chassis Desert Race Truck or Pre-runner typically all of the rear suspension mounting points are set up in one assembly, this is called the Rear Pivot Box. It mounts the lower and upper link mounts for a tube chassis rear suspension. These Rear Pivot Boxes are somewhat universal and work with several different chassis applications.
These assemblies come in three different stages.
Stage 1 – This is the most fabrication friendly, designed to snap together easily and MIG welded. This is also the only series of components that can be cut from mild steel/DOM material. Great for the novice fabricator.
Stage 2 – More complex than Stage 1 these assemblies are designed to be cut from 4130 Chromoly and require more fabrication experience. The components and chassis assemblies are stronger and lighter than Stage 1.
Stage 3 – Professional fabricators only, these complex assemblies require expertise with fabrication and TIG welding, everything is designed for 4130 Chromoly and requires expensive tooling/machining operations to fabricate everything.
